Rick and Vickie bought their Beneteau 381 from Joe and Ann Donnelly in 2004. From March to November they spend most weekends on the boat - which is never enough time. Rick and Vickie have been sailing on fresh water lakes for over 20 years and are looking forward to taking the Ellen Ann south to the Gulf of Mexico and beyond. They plan their first extended foray this summer with an eleven day trip to Pickwick Lake in June, then hope to head to the Florida east coast the winter of 2008/2009.

One of the most rewarding aspects of owning the Ellen Ann and being at GTB is the friends and extended family that have become an important part of their lives both on and off the water.

Rick is an attorney with FMGR in Carbondale, IL. He looks forward to cutting back on his work load next year so he and Vickie can spend more time sailing. Vickie is a technical writer and trainer with a specialty in developing standards and training materials on electrical safety. She is phasing out this career over the next three years or so and working on creating an online store that gives her the freedom to spend less time traveling for work and more time traveling for fun.
